Return trip to Hamilton
After a morning of shopping in Coromandel, we begin the trip back to Hamilton.
We stop at a mall for lunch and buying presents - our impending departure is on my mind.
After checking in at the hotel and saying good-bye to our driver, Dave, we head out for dinner with the former commissioner of the Māori language, Dr. Timoti Karetu and Hone Edwards, TV New Zealand's "kaihautu" or guide on dealing with Maori charter issues.
I took almost no photos that day, except for the one below to remind us of the harrowing ride up the hill to Manaia.
